These terms are an agreement between you and Parallax Limited ("we", "us") covering your use of the Mane app.
Mane helps you work out what to ask for at the hair salon. It estimates your face shape and colour season on your device, shows you what a hairstyle might look like on you, and gives you an estimate of what a given style would take to achieve.
Mane gives estimates, not professional advice. Face shape, colour season, growth timelines, damage levels and price ranges are all approximations produced by software. They are a starting point for a conversation with a qualified stylist, not a substitute for one. Do not rely on them for decisions about chemical treatments.
You may only upload photos of yourself, or photos you have the right to use and for which any other person shown has given permission. You are responsible for the legality of what you upload.
You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us only the limited permission needed to produce the result you asked for — processing the photo, sending it to our generation provider for that single request, and returning the result to you.
You own the generated images and may use them for any lawful purpose, including showing them to your stylist.
We may suspend access if you do these things.
Cloud hairstyle generation requires you to be 18 or older, because our generation provider's terms require it. On-device features have no age restriction.
Mane Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play.
Free generations are provided at our discretion and may change.
We do our best to keep Mane working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Cloud generation depends on a third-party provider whose models and behaviour may change without notice. Features may change or be withdrawn.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make about your hair based on Mane's estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using Mane at any time and delete your data from Settings. We may terminate access if you breach these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, and the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
